Join us to network out and up as Generation Dayton challenges Leadership Dayton to raise the most funds for charity. 6 guest bartenders from each organization will serve cocktails, drafts ($3 Toxic Brew specials!), and other beverages. All tips raised by GenD bartenders will go to Ronald McDonald House of Dayton. Please bring cash or check for tipping.
It's our 1st "Meet the Brewers" of the year with our pals from Toxic Brew Co
We will be hosting brewers from various local Brewing companies in the regional area and who better to start with than the brewers of our very own house beer, Red Brixx Ale. They will be down here before the Dayton Dragons game sampling our house beer and a few of their others as well. They will talk about the process of making the beer as well as tasting highlights and just about anything you might fancy asking them about beer. They might even have a few goodies to hand out to a few lucky guests.
DON'T MISS OUT!
Our friends from Heidelberg will be at Brixx talking to our guests and may even have a treat for you!!
All you beer drinkers out there who want to talk to one of the people responsible for putting your favorite beer in your hand, this is your chance!
The Madness Ends Here!
Will You Be Here To See The Outcome?
Brixx will be staying open as late as possible to see who is crowned champion and we hope you're here with us.
1/2 off our new Buffalo Chicken Dip Appetizer served with your choice of bread or a kettle and tortilla chip mix for dipping.
The 2017 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament will involve 68 teams playing in a single-elimination tournament to determine the national champion of men's NCAA Division I college basketball. It is scheduled to begin on March 14, 2017, and will conclude with the championship game on April 3 at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. The championship game will be the first contested in a Western state since 1995 when Seattle, Washington was the host of the Final Four for that year
The Future is here!!
The game on April 1, 2017 will mark the second Reds "Futures Game" at Fifth Third Field, as the Reds major league club that will open their season in the National League two days later meets a select group of the top Reds prospects from Single-A, Double-A, and Triple-A. The first Reds Futures Game, played on April 4, 2009, was the first of its kind in baseball and received national media attention. Baseball America published an article titled Dayton, Reds hit on Home Run Idea as columnist Will Lingo called the event "a brilliant idea…we could all be the beneficiaries."
The Reds defeated the Futures team, 9-6, in 2009 in a game that featured five home runs including shots by Edwin Encarnacion for the big league club and a three-run homer by then-prospect Todd Frazier, playing for the Futures Team, that landed on the roof of the concessions building in left field. Soon-to-be all-star Johnny Cueto was the starting pitcher for the Reds. The Futures Team also included Drew Stubbs, Chris Heisey, Zack Cozart, Devin Mesoraco, and Juan Francisco among others.
The Reds 2017 roster is certain to include many former Dragons. The current Reds roster includes former Dragons Joey Votto, Billy Hamilton, Homer Bailey, Tucker Barnhart, Michael Lorenzen, Robert Stephenson, Jesse Winker, Amir Garrett, Sal Romano, and Nick Travieso as well as former Dragons Cozart and Mesoraco, who played for the Reds Futures team in Dayton in the 2009 exhibition game. Some of the younger players among this group could play for the Futures Team on April 1 if they are optioned to the Minor Leagues before that date.
Former Dragons who are currently rated among the top prospects in the Reds organization include infielders Nick Senzel, Shed Long, and Gavin LaValley; outfielders Aristides Aquino and Phillip Ervin; catcher Chris Okey; and pitchers Tyler Mahle, Jackson Stephens, Ismael Guillon, and Ariel Hernandez.
INTRODUCING RED BRIXX ALE
Brewed just for us by Toxic Brew Co and just $3 a pint for the entire month of April (we know it's crazy)
A collaboration that may just shake Dayton down to the tunnels beneath it. When Toxic and Ice mix who knows what will happen? Well we found out! Red Brixx Ale, a light ale with a slight amber hue that will have you on either of our establishment's patio for the rest of the night asking where this has been all your life.
Saturday, April 1st from 10am-11am
Just tapped Lucky Star Brewery's newest addition.
Is it a mixed drink? Is it a beer?
All we know is it comes out of the tap delicious.
We're excited about it and you should be too. The perfectly drinkable bloody mary beer from our friends in Miamisburg, Lucky Star Brewery and Cantina, adequately named Mucho Michelada is now on tap at Brixx Ice Company. You tell us if we should keep it permanently when you try it.
